The Beersheba Springs Historical Society Museum is located diagonally across the street from the Methodist Assembly hotel and is open on Saturdays from May through October, from 1 to 4 pm. It features items from the Hunerwadel family, as well as items donated and loaned from many other Beersheba Springs and northern Grundy County families. The museum traces the story of this area from pre-European settlement to today.
The mission of the Beersheba Springs Historical Society is to collect, preserve and promote the history and culture of Beersheba Springs and to foster a sense of community among its people.
The Society has published a number of books that speak to the founding, building, and life of the community and its inhabitants, many of whom have lived in this vicinity for multiple generations.
The Beersheba Springs Historical Society meets monthly during the summers, beginning around Memorial Day and ending around Labor Day, and hosts two barn dances each year on or around the 4th of July and in September or October.
